Not happy with my experience with Derrick. Aside from being arrogant and rude, he’s unreliable and denies reality. Look him up you’ll find other reviews just like this. Any other lawyer I’ve had I’ve felt they are on my side, with derrick it feels like he’s working against you. Doesn’t care. Ask him about an issue and he makes excuses for unresolved issues.

I researched all the names on the list and picked Derrick and 2 others and called and emailed each one late at night. Derrick was the one based on reviews I thought I would want, but I still wanted to talk to the others as well. Derrick was the first one to reach out, first thing that morning. He answered all my questions on the phone, and put me at ease immediately. The other two attorneys, one followed up late that afternoon, and the other one not until 2 days later. With real estate transactions, you only have a couple days, response time is very important. I choose to use Derrick based on initial calls, and he was wonderful to work with the entire time. I had some questions that could be considered out of scope of the legal side of purchase contracts and he researched and found answers to those as well. I will definitely be using Derrick in the future and highly recommend him to others.
