Meredith H. Makin was fantastic! My ex-partner and I seperated in 2018, but waited a few years to formally divorce. We decided to move forward just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and made filing more time-consuming and complicated. While our process was amiacable, and we remained friends, it was logistically challenging as he was living abroad while I had moved multiple times since our seperatation. Meredith was pragmatic, responsive, and totally willing to work with us on our goal toward seperating on our terms. Meredith offered advice, but was also totally willing to agree to our terms and conditions without pushing for more meditation or time. After filing, Meredith was available to answer questions about the proceeding and was proactive about making sure I felt comfortable going into the hearing and understanding next steps in the process after the formal hearing was approved.
