About William R. Wade Attorney — Personal Injury Louisville, Kentucky

Personal injury Louisville clients face some of the state’s most congested courts, but William R. Wade Attorney at 408 Fountain Ct brings over 30 years of experience handling serious felony and misdemeanor cases alongside personal injury representation. The firm operates under attorney William Butler, who has earned a reputation for plain-spoken honesty, reliable court appearances, and a determination to fight for results even when the odds feel stacked against the client. He is direct about what to expect, returns calls promptly, and treats every client with the same level of care regardless of case size.

Louisville accounts for a disproportionate share of Kentucky’s traffic accidents and injury claims, making experienced local representation critical. Frequently Asked Questions

What are the most common personal injury claims filed in Louisville, Kentucky?

Car accidents represent the largest share of personal injury claims in Louisville, which records as many as 31,000 traffic collisions per year — more than any other Kentucky city. Slip and fall cases, workplace injuries, and wrongful death actions also represent a significant volume of Jefferson County civil filings. Distracted driving causes nearly 40,000 collisions statewide each year, and Louisville’s urban density means many of those occur within city limits. If you were injured by someone else’s negligence, Kentucky’s fault-based system allows you to pursue compensation for medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

How long do I have to file a personal injury lawsuit in Kentucky?

Kentucky’s statute of limitations for personal injury claims is one year from the date of the injury. This is shorter than most states and catches many injured people off guard. Missing this deadline typically bars you from filing altogether. Exceptions exist for minors, cases involving discovery of a latent injury, and certain claims against government entities, but these are narrow. If you were recently injured in Louisville or anywhere in Jefferson County, consulting an attorney as soon as possible protects your ability to file before the window closes.

I’ve used him a long time ago on a case He’s the best lawyer I’ve used 100% Recommended him

Very thorough- to the point and provided excellent service as it came to our case! You can count on Mr Butler!

Attorney Butler saved my daughter’s life! We live in Detroit, which is a 6/7hr drive. Sometimes we had to drive to the court, see the judge & Atty Butler-then leave! Drive 6/7hrs back home. We weren’t there 15min! By the way, we’re Butlers too! But my baby was going to see family, and got pulled over. She had drugs, pills, weed, checks, check printer & State Licenses with her picture but in other names! She had Sooo many charges, that would mk ur head spin! She also had speeding & wreckless driving! She got Atty Butler’s name from a friend, who highly recommended him. And by him being a Butler, I knew he was the one! My daughter got 5yrs but did 10months! We thought the Feds were gonna drop by, but they didn’t! Atty Butler was up front & was straight up! He was always there for Us & reassured Us too! Cause We were nervous recks! Atty Butler said, “I don’t play, when I go in there” and He didn’t! If anyone need an Awesome Attorney, BUTLER’S the ONE!!!

Mr. Butler was phenomenal. He helped me tremendously in the courtroom, very punctual , very reliable and very professional! He is great at what he does!

Bill is one of the most helpful attorneys in the state! I will recommend him to any and everybody!!

Phenomenal. Very happy with the outcome. Nothing scarier than not being sure if being innocent of false allegations is enough. Mr. Butler and his team immediately took action and resolved the issue for me. Hopefully I will never need his services again, but if I do, he will be my first and only call.

In 2018, I received a knock on my door by the FBI. I picked up the phone, called Mr. Butler’s office for the first time, explained the situation and put them on the phone with the FBI. The FBI left my house and I immediately went to Mr. Butler’s office.

He is proactive, knowledgeable of the law and will negotiate on your behalf until he gets what he wants.

Awesome lawyer!

Mr Butler and (Karen) are beyond amazing! In 2019, I was charged in an embezzling case. My family and I were completely lost and scared and had no idea what to do or expect. My family searched for the best attorney we could afford and forever thankful they found Mr Butler. He did not disappoint. At our first meeting, he eased our minds. Four long years I had many court proceedings, several zoom meetings and numerous telephone conversations with Mr Butler or Karen. He was always in court(2 1/2 hour drive), promptly returned my phone calls and fought for me! He was honest ( rather it be in my favor or not) and always told me what to expect and would discuss the different outcomes.

Mr William Butler Jr is awesome. My dad and I are very thankful for all he did trying to resolve his Federal case. He always answered my questions and never promised or said something if he wasn’t sure that it was going to happen. He is a very professional and experienced attorney and I will recommend him to anybody who needs an attorney without a doubt. Thanks for all you did for my dad. You are a great human being. ❤️ God bless you and your team !!

Mr. Butler is my lifesaver! He really saved my life by resolving my case for me. He is a true professional and really experienced, especially when it comes to handling Federal cases, way better than a lot of lawyers I have dealt with in the past. There are a lot of incompetent lawyers in Louisville that they just want your money, but don’t deliver the results you expect. Basically, they just don’t know what the heck they are doing. However, Mr. butler is a real deal. He really means what he says and never makes false promises. If you are in a legal trouble and don’t know what to do right now, I would highly recommend Mr. Butler to represent you as your attorney. I can guarantee you would have peace of mind when you sleep. Plus, he has an extremely responsible, nice and patient paralegal help him with paperwork and answer any questions you have, very down to earth, unlike some of those very cold and stuck up paralegals I have dealt with in the past. All they do is throw you through the hoops, because they don’t care about you! But, Ms. Karen, Mr. Butler’s paralegal is very nice and treats your case as if her own case. And, that is the empathy I am talking about here. When you are in a legal trouble and worry about your future, you will definitely need that. Retaining Mr. Butler as your lawyer would put you in a good hand!!!
