My husband passed away in 2020 and I had to sell the family farm in Michigan. Part of the farm was in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). The buyer told me he was going to leave the farm in the CRP program, but did not. Because he lied to me and withdrew the land from CRP, the Farm Serve Agency (FSA) sought tens of thousands of dollars from me in fees and penalties. I did not have the money to pay, so I searched out an attorney and found John in Indiana. Knowing he was a farmer and attorney, I felt he was the guy that could fix this issue for me. John represented me at a hearing at the Michigan State Farm Service Agency and we successfully got the penalties reduced down to only $3,000, saving me tens of thousands of dollars. For anyone needing an FSA or USDA attorney, I would highly recommend John.
The wife and I have used Schwarz law firm a couple of times for an estate and our own estate planning. Natalie has been great both times! Will use Schwarz law firm for the next legal issue for sure!
I have a business helping Farmers with FSA/NRCS paperwork. Whenever my clients have Wetland, payment limitation, asset, or life planning issues, I call on John and his staff. They are great to work with and my clients/farmers appreciate the help they are able to provide, with all their farming needs!! Would highly recommend them to anyone!
Very friendly and helpful people!
