It’s true that one moment really can change your life. I am one of the lucky ones though. I was on the freeway in the fast lane and stopped for traffic, but the car behind me didn’t, and I was rear-ended while it was going @ 65mph. One minute I was excited about the Hollywood Premiere I was on my way to attend, and then the next minute my body was thrust back and forth while drifting in slow motion at the same time. So very surreal. Within moments I saw a fire truck , police car, paramedics, ambulance…traffic was completely stopped…like a real life Hollywood movie. I sat in my car feeling despair, confusion, pain…all the while being checked by the paramedics. My car was completely totaled. I suddenly heard my brother-in-law’s voice, my sister contacted him and he somehow managed to get to me. I remember him saying, “Wow, you got hit hard Lory…don’t worry, I’ve got a guy…his name is Jon, he’s my lawyer and I’ve already called him, he’ll be expecting your call when you’re ready.” And thus began my Journey with Jonathan Howell. This is my first time having a personal injury case, it’s been quite a lesson, so much to learn. Jon took over from day one and along with his assistant Maria, explained the processes as we went along and guided me to the correct people and places. They handled everything, from the tow yard, to the car rental place, dealing with my Insurance, dealing with the insurance of the guy that hit me, the doctor’s visits, physical therapy, tests, imaging…you name it, the whole enchilada. I’m not gonna lie, it took a long time, but it’s because he made sure I was getting the proper care, that I was improving regardless of how long it took, that I would be receiving a just compensation for all of the pain & suffering that I’ve endured. He fought for me, they wanted to give me pittance, and he said no, and fought some more. He’s also the type of guy that dots the “i’s” & crosses the “t’s” which I respect. Some things are worth waiting for, and this was definitely one of them. Not only is he a nice, decent guy, he’s very professional and is someone that truly cares and takes the time to listen to you. He did whatever it took to make me whole again, and I am very grateful to Jon & Maria for it. Now, if anyone asks me, I can honestly say, “YA, I’VE GOT A GUY…”
