In September of 2021, we had to travel from our home in Virginia to San Diego in order to settle the affairs of a family member who suddenly had developed severe dementia and then died within only a few weeks. He had no advance directives of any kind except for naming his sister as beneficiary of his bank accounts. He had 2 adult children from whom he had been estranged for decades. The legal ramifications were daunting.

These are good lawyers. Sounds like an oxymoron, I know. Lots of people don’t like lawyers, but these are good lawyers! They helped me to get a satisfactory resolution to my dispute. They were sensitive to my practical and emotional needs, after the loss of a parent. They offered listening, practical advice, solid planning and professional problem- solving and “lawyering.” The situation was resolved between the parties, out of court. Bad attorneys advise you, based on what’s best for them. Good attorneys advise you, based on what’s best for you. These are good attorneys. I’m grateful it’s behind me, and the help from Frisella-Nielsen made it less awful. Thank you!
