Who writes our content
Our legal guides are produced by the ReachAttorneys Editorial Team — researchers and editors who specialize in synthesizing public legal information into reader-friendly guides. The team is led by Michael Smith, Senior Editor, who oversees research, writing, and review of every guide before publication. We are not a law firm, and our editors are not your attorneys. Our content is educational and informational only — it is not legal advice and should not be relied on as such.

How we research
Our guides draw on:

- The attorney listings in our directory — to ensure our city and practice-area coverage reflects who is genuinely practicing in each market.
We synthesize, summarize, and present this information in plain language. We do not generate fictional case outcomes, statistics, attorney quotes, or testimonials.
How we keep guides accurate
- Regular review. Every guide is reviewed for continuing accuracy. The “Last reviewed” date on each article reflects the most recent review.
- Update on change. When laws, fees, deadlines, or procedures change in a covered jurisdiction, we update affected guides as soon as we become aware of the change.
- Correction policy. If you find a factual error in any of our content, please contact us and we will review and correct as warranted, typically within five business days.
What we don’t do
- We don’t pay attorneys to write or endorse our editorial content.
- We don’t accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of any attorney or firm in our guides.
- We don’t fabricate author names, credentials, case outcomes, or quotes.
- We don’t use AI-generated headshots or fake biographies for our editorial team.
Editorial independence
Our editorial content is independent of our advertising and paid-subscription business. Editorial decisions about which guides to publish, how to frame them, and which practice areas to prioritize are made by the editorial team — not by paid subscribers, advertisers, or featured firms.
